Sunday by the pool in Kigali

No no, its not the hang over from Saturdays party that kept me from writing yesterday, we had no electricity all day and when it came back in the evening I have to admit i was a little tired. So the day was spent lazily. I went to the swimming pool and as always it was nice and sunny until 5 minutes after my arrival and then it just poured down with rain. Then back home, a hot coffee, long siesta and a movie. Perfect Sunday, apart from the fact that even my scottish friend in Kinshasa had Lebkuchen (ginger bread) for St. Niklas but not me.
Unfortunately also for some there wont be any pictures from the party on this blog, some things are best kept unpublished.

Now what will I report on today? Maybe other lazy and not so lazy Sundays spent.

For example playing Taboo at Robins house.

Here buzzing the red "time-up" button frantically with Matt, Robin and Frederic.
Viele Sonntage haven wir bei meinem Freund Robin verbracht, beim Tabu Spielen.

Other Sundays we would go for a little walk, like this one with Monse and Joy just outside Kigali. Again rain caught us in the middle. And we just passed this mudhouse and asked the woman if we could stay until it passed. So we stood there in this dark little mudhut with giant FC Barcelona and a Jesus picture as the only wall decoration, well it did pretty much cover all available wall space. Her kids were giggling and looking at us, we were sharing damp biscuits and it was a lovely human moment shared. Until another friend felt obliged to give her some money and the rest of us felt that moment destroyed for the next time she might ask the desperate wanderers for money straight away.
